Daily luxuries s/s 2016

The spring and summer collections for 2016 are beautiful and cool. The cool season began in New York with chic daywear inspired by the nineties. For example the slip dress is a summer essential, according to Courrges, Balenciaga, Givenchy and the Row. The spring-summer collections in NY had a minimalistic and romantic design with beautiful lines, from the dresses by DKNY, Tibi, Thakoon, Vera Wang, Altuzzara to Givenchy and Carolina Herrera. The chic day collection by Altuzzara, for example, was made of soft white dresses with beautiful beading and Spanish espadrilles. The collections by Alexander Wang, Vera Wang and Cushnie et Ochs had a more grungy and hiphop nineties style.

The inimitable collections by Dior, Chloé, and Balenciaga in Paris had a soft and delicate style. Summer lace is a lovely luxury for another summer season, as seen by Burberry. Balenciaga’s last collection by Alexander Wang had a soft tenderness with white day dresses in cotton, silk and lace, inspired by lingerie and nineties’ coolness. Balmain had a beautiful and feminine collection of daily luxuries in beige and brown tones with emerald green, in suede and macramé.

The escapism of the summer collections in Milan was made for romantic souls. The romantic collections are set in another time and in another place, from the desert nomad collection by Alberta Ferretti, the vintage world traveller collection by Gucci, the under the sea collection by Pucci, to the nostalgic Italia collection by Dolce & Gabbana.

Liu jo y lujo

Daily luxury is something beautiful that you love on a daily basis. For me, for example, my daily luxury is my family, my home, my illy capuccino, dolci, sleeping in, my beautiful Liu Jo jeans and Choo’s, the Vogue Italia, España and Paris, writing, traveling to the Mediterranea, my dreams and memories. Dream and create a life you love! A dream is a daily luxury that gives inspiration and hope for beautiful things to come. Don’t wait for your dreams to come true without loving your life on a daily basis, too. Love the little things in your life! Daily luxury_lingerie

For a sleepy day at home, lovely lingerie is an essential daily luxury. I love the lingerie from Intimissimi, La Perla and Victoria’s Secret, because it is available in my favorite colors turquoise and blue in beautiful lace, and has a good and comfortable fit in small and medium sizes. Lovely lingerie and lace is an essential spring/summer trend for 2016, for example the slipdress, as seen in the cool collections by Balenciaga, Courrges, Burberry, and Vera Wang. Beautiful details, soft lace and a comfortable fit are essential. Since many women are still looking for their perfect fit, it may be a good idea to be measured for example by Victoria’s secret to find the good size for you. Don’t worry, because you can find beautiful lingerie in any size, from a 70D to a 70AA. The lingerie from the online boutique ThirdLove even comes in half sizes, and offers a good and comfortable fit for all women and a solution for all their bra-blems. For example, when your bra has some slipping straps, you need to tighten them every time or consider another model like a demi or semi-bra or one with convertible straps. New year, new you 💙

Happy new year! January is a prelude to a beautiful new year and new you. Dream and love the daily luxury in your life. Try to change anything that doesn’t feel good to you. Love your life on a daily basis. Start with yoga, swim in the blue sea, drink more water and white tea, eat more fruit and biological food, love and take care of yourself, your family and the world around you.

💙 With love_ It all begins with a dream, love and hope. Dream a little dream and visualize your goals. If you can dream it, you can do it. For beautiful inspiration from Maya Angelou, Dalai Lama, and Lilo and Stitch, you can read my last post.

💙 New adventures_ Do what you love and go on an adventure. Learn how to surf, travel to Bali and Hawaii, learn a new language, find your dream job. Fall in love and go with the waves.

💙 Daily luxury for the new year_ Love your daily luxury. The new season has so many beautiful things to offer. I love the spring-summer collections for 2016, for example from Liu Jo, Valentino, and Jimmy Choo. Dream and love the daily luxury in your life 💙. If you don’t love some things in your life, try to change them by choosing a life you dream of, all the things you hope for and the daily luxury you love. Whether it is something small or big, you only need to start somewhere. It may take baby steps to find your dream job, the love of your life, to learn a new language, to travel the world, to become a more beautiful and healthy person. Do what you love, go on an adventure and go with the waves. Dreams, love and hope will be all that you need in your suitcase (and some beautiful clothes and style, ofcourse).

The winter is a beautiful season because of xmas! The Christmas season is all about love and giving. My xmas wishlist is becoming a long one, because of all the daily luxury in the boutiques around Christmas time. Beautiful Valentino boots, beige Choo’s, Tiffany’s bracelet from the Blue Book (inspired by the ocean), Bulgari watch, winter white and beige cashmere knitwear, lovely lace or silk dress, Dior makeup, Acqua di Parma Arancia di Capri, coffee table books, lovely Liu jo bag that looks like a fairytale book…

I love the xmas song by Mariah Carey, and though all I want for xmas is you… I do like to have all the daily luxury on my dream list, too (I’m sorry ). Merry xmas and may all your wishes come true!

For a sleepy day at home these are my daily luxuries: illy cappuccino, croissants, fresh berries, beautiful lace lingerie in light blue or turquoise (La Perla, Intimissimi, Victoria’s secret), a long, warm bath, Dior nude and sorbet cream, Acqua di Parma, mini dresses in white or beige, a warm cashmere or knit sweater (Repeat Cashmere, Liu jo, Twin-Set, Patrizia Pepe), a lovely and cosy bed (Zara home, Riviera maison), a mozzarella or burrata salad and pizza, the Vogue Italia, España or Paris, my Nicky Bianca blog, Pinterest, listening to my music (Aaliyah), reading my books (from Maya Angelou and F. Winter luxury 💙

This winter is going to be a cool season. The beautiful winter luxuries that are in store now make you forget about summer and long for the snow. My wishlist of winter luxuries is a long one. First of all, I would love to have the lovely, winter beige Choo high top trainers and beautiful, black Valentino boots with decorative studs (Valentino, Choo, Shoebaloo). A beautiful backpack or bucket bag are the coolest bags of the season (Valentino, Liu jo, Patrizia Pepe, Paul Warmer). Secondly, the lovely Liu jo jeans and the Liu jo down jackets from the Les Plumes collection are beautiful basic items for all your winter looks (Liu jo). The warm and comfy cashmere dresses and sweaters in winter white and lovely beige are essential winter luxuries (Repeat Cashmere, Liu jo, MaxMara, Twin-Set, Patrizia Pepe). For beautiful, dewy skin you need the delicious soft Dior sorbet cream and Dior serum sorbet against the winter cold. A lovely winter makeup in beige and brown tones, inspired by the nineties look, can be created by a little Dior nude air foundation, Dior bronzer and the Dior sunkissed nailpolish (Dior).

The cool season in NY

The cool season in New York begins with fashion week. The beautiful spring and summer collections on the runway brought a cool and colorful crowd of fashion editors, bloggers and models. The bold and beautiful trends of the season were noticeable in the NY Streets. It is all about denim, high heels and cool bags. And the casual coolness and nonchalance of it all looked a little like New York in the nineties, back in the days.

💙 The distressed, loose fit, and boyfriend denim jeans are styled with a tee and top (Liu jo jeans, Twin-set, Pinko)

💙 The mini dresses are cool and comfortable in beautiful shades of blue, white or beige (Maje, Isabel Marant, Twin-Set)
