Daily luxury s/s 2016: off shoulder

An essential daily luxury for the summer is definitely the off shoulder dress or top.

A beautiful blue (Sea), striped (Patrizia Pepe) or cool white off shouder top (Liu Jo, Tibi) in soft cotton on a dark blue denim Liu jo jeans creates a casual-chique outfit à la Olivia Palermo. Lovely lace lingerie in white, blue and soft turquoise by Victoria’s Secret and Intimissimi will look beautiful on bare shoulders. Secondly, a cotton off shoulder dress by Thakoon or Chloé is both beautiful and cool 💙. A soft cotton dress or top with bare shoulders has a beautiful and casual look, as it looks both dressed and a little sexy. You can wear your beautiful heels by Choo or Valentino, and still look casual, or dress it down with espadrilles, sandals or Choo trainers. You can’t miss with this summer essential!

Choo’s spring-summer collection is beautiful, tropical and cool 💙. Creative director Sandra Choi has created a beautiful collection for summer days and tropical temperatures. The summer collection was inspired by California, reminding me of a song by Aaliyah. And like her lyrics_hotter than a summer day in California_ the lovely palm printed Ava bag, light khaki trainers and Choo sunglasses with flowers _got me melting like a sundae. Another beautiful piece of the Choo summer collection is the limited edition palm printed Lockett petite bag in khaki and is _one in a million. The sand trainers in a lovely mix of soft and patent leather, the chique embellished Karmel or Kaye heels, the cool tribal Lima heels, and classic black Tide sling backs are beautiful pieces from the Choo s/s collection that deserve a place in my daily luxury collection. 💙 Choo’s_ Choo’s summer collection is perfect for tropical temperatures with its palm printed bags, beige and khaki trainers, and sunglasses with flowers.

Coco Chanel in Havana, Cuba 🌺

May 3, 2016, Havana, Cuba. While Cuba is opening its turquoise doors to the world, the beautiful island invited not only Obama, the first American President to come to Cuba since 1928, but also the world of ‘moda y lujo’ to enter the colourful and vibrant capital city Havana. In the Paseo del Prado, set between the palm trees and Cuban casas, the street has become a runway for the Chanel cruise collection 2017. In a beautiful mix of old and new, the past and the present, the Chanel couture collection meets the classic imperial style of Cuba. With the Panama hats, coloured tweed jackets and midi skirts, the Chanel cruise collection 2017 is clearly inspired by Cuban history. While the masculine trousers, tweed jackets and midi skirts in the cruise collection are quintessential to Chanel, the colourful tweed in lime, coral, blue and colonial white, tropical prints and ‘Viva Coco libre’-shirts have been inspired by the Cuban setting.

Daily luxuries s/s 2016

The spring and summer collections for 2016 are beautiful and cool. The cool season began in New York with chic daywear inspired by the nineties. For example the slip dress is a summer essential, according to Courrges, Balenciaga, Givenchy and the Row. The spring-summer collections in NY had a minimalistic and romantic design with beautiful lines, from the dresses by DKNY, Tibi, Thakoon, Vera Wang, Altuzzara to Givenchy and Carolina Herrera. The chic day collection by Altuzzara, for example, was made of soft white dresses with beautiful beading and Spanish espadrilles. The collections by Alexander Wang, Vera Wang and Cushnie et Ochs had a more grungy and hiphop nineties style.

The inimitable collections by Dior, Chloé, and Balenciaga in Paris had a soft and delicate style. Summer lace is a lovely luxury for another summer season, as seen by Burberry. Balenciaga’s last collection by Alexander Wang had a soft tenderness with white day dresses in cotton, silk and lace, inspired by lingerie and nineties’ coolness. Balmain had a beautiful and feminine collection of daily luxuries in beige and brown tones with emerald green, in suede and macramé.

The escapism of the summer collections in Milan was made for romantic souls. The romantic collections are set in another time and in another place, from the desert nomad collection by Alberta Ferretti, the vintage world traveller collection by Gucci, the under the sea collection by Pucci, to the nostalgic Italia collection by Dolce & Gabbana.
