Dream list for xmas πŸ’™πŸ’

I don’t want too much for xmas, there is just one thing I need,

I don’t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree,

I just want you for my own, more than you will ever know

Make my wish come true o oh, all I want for xmas is you! πŸ’™

_All I want for Christmas, Mariah Carey

The winter is a beautiful season because of xmas! The Christmas season is all about love and giving. My xmas wishlist is becoming a long one, because of all the daily luxury in the boutiques around Christmas time. Beautiful Valentino boots, beige Choo’s, Tiffany’s bracelet from the Blue Book (inspired by the ocean), Bulgari watch, winter white and beige cashmere knitwear, lovely lace or silk dress, Dior makeup, Acqua di Parma Arancia di Capri, coffee table books, lovely Liu jo bag that looks like a fairytale book…

I love the xmas song by Mariah Carey, and though all I want for xmas is you… I do like to have all the daily luxury on my dream list, too (I’m sorry ). Merry xmas and may all your wishes come true!

Love her style πŸŒΊ

Some women own a naturally beautiful style 🌺 You may find them within your family and friends, in magazines, in old movies, in fashion blogs, and in the streets and boutiques of beautiful cities like Barcelona, New York, Milan and Firenze. These beautiful, classy women are truly an inspiration to me. And also the cool kids, models, Brooklyn babies and fashion bloggers inspire me with their casual coolness. I love the mix of classic elements with my own casual and cool style. The new chic is presented by cool and comfy clothes in beautiful silhouettes, soft fabrics and textures. For example, a beige cashmere dress, a soft white tee with a Liu jo jeans and Valentino or Acquazzura heels, a white knit dress from Twin-Set or a beige silk dress from Patrizia Pepe with a denim jacket. A sporty cool style is upgraded by the softest materials and chic designs. While classy pieces are dressed down with a tee, denim and sneaks. These are my sources of inspiration:

  2. The lovely boutiques of Liu jo, Patrizia Pepe, Twin-Set, MaxMara, Maje, Isabel Marant, Dior, Bulgari, Valentino, Acquazzura, Sergio Rossi, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Tiffany’s, la Rinascente, De Bijenkorf, Shoebaloo.

La bella cittΓ  di moda Firenze

In the 1920’s a bellboy in a chique hotel started designing beautiful, handmade pieces of leather luggage and travel bags for the chic and wealthy in Florence, italy. Grace Kelly and Jacky Kennedy loved his fine collection of bags. In the course of the 20th century the bellboy, Guccio Gucci, had created an empire with his family business in Firenze (Florence). The beautiful pieces of travel bags, suitcases and the clothing collections designed by Gucci, from the twenties to the present day, can be admired in the Gucci museum in Firenze.

Gucci is merely one of the inspirational success stories that are set in the bellissima cittΓ  di moda Firenze. Small scale family businesses in fine leather and wool have grown out to become fashion empires on which the sun doesn’t set. Sergio Rossi is another good example of this. The beautiful quality and design of its leather shoes has made Sergio Rossi an international success. Armani, Acquazzura, Patrizia Pepe, Pucci, and Salvatore Ferragamo are other examples of beautiful, internationally renowned brands that all started in the city of Firenze.

The Via de’ Tornabuoni is the most beautiful and chique street in the city center of Firenze, where you will find the boutiques of HermΓ¨s, Pucci, Tiffany’s, Bulgari, Dior and many more. La Piazza della Reppubblica is the historic square of the city and a perfect starting point to explore the boutiques in the small side streets Via Roma and Via Calziuoli, for example Fratelli Roselli, Liu Jo, Pollini, Luisa via Roma, La Rinascente. You may also find little family run shops where the shoes, bags and clothes are still being handmade.

Even though, Firenze is a perfect place for a shopping trip, you shouldn’t miss the cultural and architectural beauty of the city. Il Duomo, il Battistero, Piazza Signorina, Piazzale Michelangelo and il Giardino di Boboli are beautiful, breathtaking locations to explore in the city. And you have to try all the delicious dolci, icecream and pizza that Firenze has to offer. The beautiful boutiques, architecture and food make Firenze one of my favorite Italian cities πŸ’™.

Barca: city on the beach πŸ’™

Barcelona is a beautiful city on the beach. One day you can explore the beautiful architecture of the city and the Mediterranean culture, and the other day you can have a lovely day on the beach. The city is divided in several barrios or districts, from the chique and beautiful Eixample, the little and authentic streets of Borne and Gracia to the beaches and chirrinquitos of Barcelonetta.

To begin with, you need to go to the Passeig de Gracia to shop, where you will find beautiful boutiques and little bakeries for macarons with caffe con leche (don’t miss the dolci at Γ‰picerie in Via Pau Claris). In the Passeig de Gracia you will find beautiful architecture and the fairytale buildings from GaudΓ (Casa Batillo and la Pedrera). In the little streets of Gracia you will find many authentic tapas restaurants, while in Borne  there is a mix of Mediterranean and international restaurants and local boutiques. A beautiful example is the delicious fusion restaurant named Ikibana with Japanese and Brazilian dishes (urumaki sushi with strawberry and palmhearts mm). While it is much fun to go stand up paddle surfing in Barcelonetta, and to chill in one of the chirrinquitos on the beach (try the french toast and fresh juices at Surf House BCN and the sweets and juices at Rosaria’s), the beach in Mar bella is more beautiful to swim and chill. When you come to Barca, don’t forget to visit these beautiful places in the city and the beach:

  1. The Passeig de Gracia and its beautiful shops and boutiques, for example Loewe, Chanel, Burberry, Liu Jo, Max Mara, Bulgari, Tiffany’s, Jimmy Choo, Maje, Mango, and Zara home. Liu Jo is in Bulevard Rosa, Paseo de Gracia 51 (www.liujo.it).
  2. The beautiful architecture from GaudΓ can be seen in the Passeig de Gracia 43 and 92; Casa Batillo and Casa MilΓ  (la Pedrera). Don’t forget to go to Parc GΓΌell as well for the beautiful mozaic and the city view (in Gracia).
  3. Γ‰picerie, try the dolci and macarons in this lovely patisserie in Via Pau Claris 145.
  4. Ikibana, best sushi restaurant in Borne πŸ’™ with a fusion from Japanese and Brazilian cuisine, in Passeig Picasso 32 (www.ikibana.es).
  5. Mar bella is a beautiful beach in Barca to swim and chill πŸ’™.
  6. Maka maka in Barcelonetta for delicious fries with wasabi mayonaise mm, in Passeig de Joan de BorbΓ³ 76 (www.makamaka.es).
  7. Cdlc club and restaurant for your chique days and nights out πŸ’™ in Passeig maritim 32 (www.cdlcbarcelona.com).
  8. Sitges, little place on the beach you need to visit (near Barcelona).
  9. For summer and beachy days, you can go stand up paddle surfing in Barceloneta (surfboards are available at Boardriders in Carrer de la Drassana 10, or Locals in Passeig Joan de BorbΓ³ 80-84). No passa nadaaπŸ’™.

Daily luxury new season

It is almost February and it is time to dream about the new season and all the beautiful clothes to wear for spring and summer. The new summer collections that are in store now make me dream of sun, sand and the sea πŸ’™. Dressed in my new daily luxury, I’m good to go to the beach or to enjoy a summer breeze in the city. This summer, I’m thinking of beautiful white, soft beige and lovely turquoise to wear. And this summer, too, I’ll find new daily luxuries in my favorite summer colours to have and to hold.

To begin with, I need one of the beautiful Liu Jo bottom up jeans. This daily luxury is more of a necessity to your basic summer collection. Liu Jo jeans are the most beautiful jeans to complement your body. To fall in love with Liu Jo jeans and the cool tops and tees, visit the online store at: http://www.liujo.it

Secondly, I love the beautiful items from Patrizia Pepe’s spring/summer collection. I love the combination of classic and cool. The summer collection features classic items like the trench coat with a beautiful new fit and casual feel to it, to dress it down, while sporty items like the baseball sweater become chique with beautiful details, embellishments and soft fabrics. Find new daily luxury for the new season at: http://www.patriziapepe.it

Not only do I need a new pair of blue Liu Jo jeans and a beige trench coat from Patrizia Pepe, I would love to shop beige or turquoise Valentino heels, a blue bikini from Twin-set, a Chanel backpack, Dior sunglasses, a Bulgari watch…πŸ’™
