Dressed in white for a midsummer night, a dîner en blanc, or a lovely summer sunset, feels beautiful and chique 💙. Spanish or chantilly lace looks beautiful on bare skin, paired with nude Valentino heels or white Choo’s. Lovely lace dresses are essential summer pieces, for example in the spring-summer collections by Valentino, Burberry and Chloé. Secondly, an embellished white dress is an essential daily luxury on summer days, for example by Altuzzara. Another white dress that is very en vogue is the silk slipdress, inspired by lingerie and nineties coolness (Balenciaga, Courrges, The Row). Lastly, with a minimalist mini dress with long sleeves, you can wear a beautiful clutch and embellished heels by Choo or Acquazzura, showing long tan legs. And for your man? He needs a classic white tuxedo jacket, black trousers and classy Choo’s for Cuban vibes.

My daily luxury for summer days in June:

💙 Lovely lace_ soft turquoise dream angels lace demi bra with a beautiful back, unlined demi bra in coconut white, and blue lagoon white lace swimsuit with straps on the back from Victoria’s Secret.

💙 Liu Jo_ the summer collection from Liu Jo is beautiful and cool, for example the lovely Liu Jo denim collection in dark blue and white, and the safaric chic summer essentials in white, beige and khaki.

💙 Patrizia Pepe_ I’m in love with the cool spring-summer collection from Patrizia Pepe, with beautiful pieces such as the cotton and linen off shoulder top with stripes, silky shirt in white/light blue stripes, and the ‘ocean soul’ striped top.

💙 Choo’s_ Choo’s summer collection is perfect for tropical temperatures with its palm printed bags, beige and khaki trainers, and sunglasses with flowers.

The winter is a beautiful season because of xmas! The Christmas season is all about love and giving. My xmas wishlist is becoming a long one, because of all the daily luxury in the boutiques around Christmas time. Beautiful Valentino boots, beige Choo’s, Tiffany’s bracelet from the Blue Book (inspired by the ocean), Bulgari watch, winter white and beige cashmere knitwear, lovely lace or silk dress, Dior makeup, Acqua di Parma Arancia di Capri, coffee table books, lovely Liu jo bag that looks like a fairytale book…

I love the xmas song by Mariah Carey, and though all I want for xmas is you… I do like to have all the daily luxury on my dream list, too (I’m sorry ). Merry xmas and may all your wishes come true!

Barca: city on the beach 💙

Barcelona is a beautiful city on the beach. One day you can explore the beautiful architecture of the city and the Mediterranean culture, and the other day you can have a lovely day on the beach. The city is divided in several barrios or districts, from the chique and beautiful Eixample, the little and authentic streets of Borne and Gracia to the beaches and chirrinquitos of Barcelonetta.

To begin with, you need to go to the Passeig de Gracia to shop, where you will find beautiful boutiques and little bakeries for macarons with caffe con leche (don’t miss the dolci at Épicerie in Via Pau Claris). In the Passeig de Gracia you will find beautiful architecture and the fairytale buildings from Gaudí (Casa Batillo and la Pedrera). In the little streets of Gracia you will find many authentic tapas restaurants, while in Borne there is a mix of Mediterranean and international restaurants and local boutiques. A beautiful example is the delicious fusion restaurant named Ikibana with Japanese and Brazilian dishes (urumaki sushi with strawberry and palmhearts mm). While it is much fun to go stand up paddle surfing in Barcelonetta, and to chill in one of the chirrinquitos on the beach (try the french toast and fresh juices at Surf House BCN and the sweets and juices at Rosaria’s), the beach in Mar bella is more beautiful to swim and chill. When you come to Barca, don’t forget to visit these beautiful places in the city and the beach:

The Passeig de Gracia and its beautiful shops and boutiques, for example Loewe, Chanel, Burberry, Liu Jo, Max Mara, Bulgari, Tiffany’s, Jimmy Choo, Maje, Mango, and Zara home. Liu Jo is in Bulevard Rosa, Paseo de Gracia 51 (www.liujo.it).
The beautiful architecture from Gaudí can be seen in the Passeig de Gracia 43 and 92; Casa Batillo and Casa Milà (la Pedrera). Don’t forget to go to Parc Güell as well for the beautiful mozaic and the city view (in Gracia).
Épicerie, try the dolci and macarons in this lovely patisserie in Via Pau Claris 145.
Ikibana, best sushi restaurant in Borne 💙 with a fusion from Japanese and Brazilian cuisine, in Passeig Picasso 32 (www.ikibana.es).
Mar bella is a beautiful beach in Barca to swim and chill 💙.
Maka maka in Barcelonetta for delicious fries with wasabi mayonaise mm, in Passeig de Joan de Borbó 76 (www.makamaka.es).
Cdlc club and restaurant for your chique days and nights out 💙 in Passeig maritim 32 (www.cdlcbarcelona.com).
Sitges, little place on the beach you need to visit (near Barcelona).
For summer and beachy days, you can go stand up paddle surfing in Barceloneta (surfboards are available at Boardriders in Carrer de la Drassana 10, or Locals in Passeig Joan de Borbó 80-84). No passa nadaa💙.

X-mas wishes

This x-mas i need a few things from Santa. Even though I am blessed with so many beautiful things in my life, I do have a few more things on my x-mas wish list. Daily luxuries and beautiful things that I don’t really need, but would love to have. First of all, I would love to have a beautiful sequined or white lace dress as seen in the lovely collections by Cushnie et Ochs, Dior, Chanel and Valentino. And a chique christmas evening to wear it to. Secondly, I would love to have chic, beige sandals with straps, as seen in the collections of Valentino, Acquazurra, and Jimmy Choo. I’ll wear this pair of daily luxuries from winter to summer, as nude heels are also beautiful with all things blue, white, denim and beige (that is my complete wardrobe). Not to forget my last x-mas wish, I would love to have a bracelet or ring from the new Tiffany’s T collection. The minimialistic and chic items in this beautiful collection are daily essentials, each and every one of them, and can be worn day and night. This x-mas I’ll dream of some new beautiful daily luxury that i’ll love all summer and winter, day and night. I hope you will have a beautiful x-mas and new year, too! May all your dreams and wishes come true this x-mas! 💙

Daily luxuries

Daily luxuries are all the little, beautiful things that make you happy on a daily basis. For me, for example, it is my mom, my family, my illy espresso and dolci, sleeping in, my beautiful Liu Jo jeans and Choo’s, my vacations to Miami and Italy, my dreams of going to Bali and Hawaii one day, the beach, stand up paddle surfing, summer days and my beautiful dreams and memories. Those are my daily luxuries. It is a daily luxury, too, to be happy with all the little things in your life. Because one day you may miss them and realize that those little things were actually the big things. I’m writing this blog on fashion and daily luxuries to share all these little, big things with you. My daily luxuries may even inspire you! Dream big and remember to be happy with all the little things in your life 💙.
