Milano s/s collections 2018

La cittร  della moda Milano was the place to be last week for the beautiful s/s collections 2018. La moda e il lussoย is an essental part of Italy’s cutural heritage. The spring-summer collections presented at Milan Fashion Week celebrated the luxurious fashion made in Italy with a lot of prints. The lovely Pucci collection from Firenze featured chique printed mini dresses presented in a fun poolside runway. Etro celebrated its fiftieth anniversary with a new version of their signature printed dresses in boho white, green and blue.

Salvatore Ferragamo has a beautiful s/s collection with lingerie inspired tops, midi skirts and delicate dresses in satin, organza and tule. The small bags carried around the waist actually looked chique! Another collection that I love is from Blumarine with beautiful see-through dresses, as well as the cool and chique collections by N.21 (Numero ventuno), Byblos and MaxMara. On the last days of MFW, Dolce & Gabbana presented their very Italian collection with black lace and organza dresses for your inner Monica, Pia and Sofia ๐Ÿ’™.

Il dolce far niente in Italy ๐Ÿ’™ย

Il dolce far niente in Italy ๐Ÿ’™ beautiful places in Italy to be lazy_

il-dolce-far-niente-in-italy

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, between summer sadness and winter blues, I need some days to sleep and chill a little. Some lazy daysย in a beautiful place in Italy would be a good idea! In Italy, il dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing, is a lifestyle. It is about living on a Mediterranean rhythm and loving the daily luxury in your life. The daily rituals have become a form of art in Italy, from a beautiful pizza margherita, the perfect cappuccino to raspberry icecream, from spending time with family, l’amoreย to dressing well. La dolce vita is celebrated in the little streets, boutiques, restaurants and homes of each Italian city. These are beautiful places in Italy to be a little lazy:

๐Ÿ’™ Milano and il lago di Como. Even though Milano is known as a busy city, it is a nice place to visit the beautiful white Duomo, and to shop in the monumental Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, la Rinascenteย and in Via Montenapoleone. For a day away from busy Milano, you need to go to Como at only half an hour distance. The view over il lago di Como is beautiful and you can go to romantic places across the lake, like Bellagio. Ilย dolce far niente: you can sit on the rooftop of il Duomo to read a book and enjoy the view, visit Armani Casaย for some home inspiration, taste the delicious mozzarella dishes and pizzas at mozzarella bar Obicร , and try all the icecream you can find in Como.

๐Ÿ’™ The lovely, little places on the 1920s beach in Viareggio all have nice entrances with wooden names. This is where the local Italian families go for a day on the beach. The place has a sweet scent that comes from the orange and pine trees. Along the seaside you will find the chique boutiques from for exampleย Liu Jo, Patrizia Pepe, Intimissimi, andย Atos Lombardini.ย In a two hour walk along the sea, you can go to Forte dei Marmi, another lovely coastal town in Lucca, Toscane. il dolce far niente: don’t miss all the boutiques in Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, go to a spa, and try all the icecream at gelateria Grom.

๐Ÿ’™ La bella cittร  di moda_ Firenze is a beautiful city and home to many boutiques, musea, and restaurants.ย In Via Roma, Via dei Calzaiuoli, Viaย de’ Tornabuoni and Piazza della Repubblica, you will find the boutiques fromย Liu Jo,ย Tiffany and co, Luisa via Roma, Patrizia Pepe,ย Fratelli Rosetti, la Rinascente, and you can visit the Gucci museo.ย il dolce far niente: drink a cappuccino or cioccolato at Caffรจ Gilli, visit the Liu jo store, visitย il giardino diย Boboli, try the mezzelune pasta at Fuori Porta, and pizza a taglio at Pugi.

La bella cittร  di moda Firenze

In the 1920’s a bellboy in a chique hotel started designing beautiful, handmade pieces of leather luggage and travel bags for the chic and wealthy in Florence, italy. Grace Kelly and Jacky Kennedy loved his fine collection of bags. In the course of the 20th century the bellboy, Guccio Gucci, had created an empire with his family business in Firenze (Florence). The beautiful pieces of travel bags, suitcases and the clothing collections designed by Gucci, from the twenties to the present day, can be admired in the Gucci museum in Firenze.

Gucci is merely one of the inspirational success stories that are set in the bellissima cittร  di moda Firenze. Small scale family businesses in fine leather and wool have grown out to become fashion empires on which the sun doesn’t set. Sergio Rossi is another good example of this. The beautiful quality and design of its leather shoes has made Sergio Rossi an international success. Armani, Acquazzura, Patrizia Pepe, Pucci, and Salvatore Ferragamo are other examples of beautiful, internationally renowned brands that all started in the city of Firenze.

The Via de’ Tornabuoni is the most beautiful and chique street in the city center of Firenze, where you will find the boutiques of Hermรจs, Pucci, Tiffany’s, Bulgari, Dior and many more. La Piazza della Reppubblica is the historic square of the city and a perfect starting point to explore the boutiques in the small side streets Via Roma and Via Calziuoli, for example Fratelli Roselli, Liu Jo, Pollini, Luisa via Roma, La Rinascente. You may also find little family run shops where the shoes, bags and clothes are still being handmade.

Even though, Firenze is a perfect place for a shopping trip, you shouldn’t miss the cultural and architectural beauty of the city. Il Duomo, il Battistero, Piazza Signorina, Piazzale Michelangelo and il Giardino di Boboli are beautiful, breathtaking locations to explore in the city. And you have to try all the delicious dolci, icecream and pizza that Firenze has to offer. The beautiful boutiques, architecture and food make Firenze one of my favorite Italian cities ๐Ÿ’™.

Summer chic ๐Ÿ’™

The beautiful new resort collections are a true source of inspiration for summer chic days ๐Ÿ’™. The summer dresses from the resort collections come in the colors of the sea and the sand, in lovely white, blue and turquoise. For example the dress collection from Cushnie et Ochs is breathtaking. Carolina Herrera has a beautiful collection of dresses with a floral print, that looks classy and cool on any cruise party or seaside resort. The beautiful Pucci dress from Erica Pelosini at her wedding set in Capri is so lovely in white and blue. Acquazzura has bold and beautiful heels in white and blue. At Tiffany’s you will find ocean inspired bracelets in turquoise and blue in a wavy pattern in the Blue Book. Dream and love the daily luxury in your life ๐Ÿ’™.
