Milano s/s collections 2018

La città della moda Milano was the place to be last week for the beautiful s/s collections 2018. La moda e il lusso is an essental part of Italy’s cutural heritage. The spring-summer collections presented at Milan Fashion Week celebrated the luxurious fashion made in Italy with a lot of prints. The lovely Pucci collection from Firenze featured chique printed mini dresses presented in a fun poolside runway. Etro celebrated its fiftieth anniversary with a new version of their signature printed dresses in boho white, green and blue.

Salvatore Ferragamo has a beautiful s/s collection with lingerie inspired tops, midi skirts and delicate dresses in satin, organza and tule. The small bags carried around the waist actually looked chique! Another collection that I love is from Blumarine with beautiful see-through dresses, as well as the cool and chique collections by N.21 (Numero ventuno), Byblos and MaxMara. On the last days of MFW, Dolce & Gabbana presented their very Italian collection with black lace and organza dresses for your inner Monica, Pia and Sofia 💙.

Liu Jo s/s collection 2016

Liu Jo’s spring-summer collection 2016 is beautiful and cool 💙.

The safari chic essentials in white, khaki and beige combine beautifully with the Liu Jo denim collection. For example, the white macramé and cotton shirts with lace on a white, khaki or beige embellished Liu jo jeans or denim skirt is lovely for a khaki spring. Don’t forget to bring your Liu jo backpack in soft beige leather to complete your city safari.

Since 2008, the beautiful Liu Jo jeans have been an essential daily luxury for my summer and winter collection. Liu Jo’s denim collection becomes even more beautiful each year and seems custom made for me due to the small and comfortable fit. The sexy, low waist divine denim jeans with a light shimmer, the lovely white denim skirt and dark blue denim jacket with embellisments; that’s my Liu Jo denim for the spring and summer season. To fall in love with Liu Jo’s denim collection and to find your perfect fit, you can visit Liu Jo’s online boutique and denim guide.

Daily luxuries s/s 2016

The spring and summer collections for 2016 are beautiful and cool. The cool season began in New York with chic daywear inspired by the nineties. For example the slip dress is a summer essential, according to Courrges, Balenciaga, Givenchy and the Row. The spring-summer collections in NY had a minimalistic and romantic design with beautiful lines, from the dresses by DKNY, Tibi, Thakoon, Vera Wang, Altuzzara to Givenchy and Carolina Herrera. The chic day collection by Altuzzara, for example, was made of soft white dresses with beautiful beading and Spanish espadrilles. The collections by Alexander Wang, Vera Wang and Cushnie et Ochs had a more grungy and hiphop nineties style.

The inimitable collections by Dior, Chloé, and Balenciaga in Paris had a soft and delicate style. Summer lace is a lovely luxury for another summer season, as seen by Burberry. Balenciaga’s last collection by Alexander Wang had a soft tenderness with white day dresses in cotton, silk and lace, inspired by lingerie and nineties’ coolness. Balmain had a beautiful and feminine collection of daily luxuries in beige and brown tones with emerald green, in suede and macramé.

The escapism of the summer collections in Milan was made for romantic souls. The romantic collections are set in another time and in another place, from the desert nomad collection by Alberta Ferretti, the vintage world traveller collection by Gucci, the under the sea collection by Pucci, to the nostalgic Italia collection by Dolce & Gabbana.

The cool season in NY

The cool season in New York begins with fashion week. The beautiful spring and summer collections on the runway brought a cool and colorful crowd of fashion editors, bloggers and models. The bold and beautiful trends of the season were noticeable in the NY Streets. It is all about denim, high heels and cool bags. And the casual coolness and nonchalance of it all looked a little like New York in the nineties, back in the days.

💙 The distressed, loose fit, and boyfriend denim jeans are styled with a tee and top (Liu jo jeans, Twin-set, Pinko)

💙 The mini dresses are cool and comfortable in beautiful shades of blue, white or beige (Maje, Isabel Marant, Twin-Set)

💙 Blue denim and leather jackets (Armani jeans, Twin-Set)

💙 The choice of shoes: dress it all down with sneakers or upgrade the casual outfit with colorful high heels (Nike, Choo, Acquazzura, Valentino)

💙 The colorful, printed bags give a hint of color to blue denim and tees (Dolce & Gabbana, Choo, Valentino)
